It’s going to be pawsome!
All plans are in place for Helensburgh’s Annual Companion Dog Show and Gala Day on Saturday 27th July, a fundraising event in Colquhoun Square for the town’s Christmas lights. This year’s event is once again sponsored by Helensburgh Pet Shop, organised by Debbie Fleming of Townhead Farm and supported by the Kennel Club. Bookings are open from 10am and the show begins at 12 noon. The Saturday market will be open from 10am as will the fairground rides dotted around the square. The volunteer elves hope that many more four legged supporters will join them at what has proved in the past two years to be a happy and entertaining family day, a great social occasion and chance to meet lots of new canine friends as well as helping to raise much needed funds to ensure the lights project can go ahead this year.
The classes for the show are as follows and multiple class entries are welcome.
Class 1: Puppy (6 – 12 months)
Class 2: Sporting (Any Gundog, Terrier or Hound)
Class 3: Non Sporting (Working, pastoral, Utility or Toy breed)
